The time has come to place down your needlepoint and set aside your ledgers. Rumours have been swirling the length of the High Street—whispered behind fans in the bakery and debated over ale at the pub—and this Author can finally reveal the truth.
It appears the social season is not confined to Mayfair. Indeed, a Grand Regency Ball is to be held in our very own midst. The Memorial Hall on Station Road is to be transformed into a venue fit for a Duchess. One hears that the finest music, the most scandalous gossip, and the crispest lemonade shall be on offer.
Will you be the Diamond of the season? Or will you remain a wallflower?
The Grand Event
We are proud to host an evening of "Bridgerton-style" glamour. Step back into the age of Jane Austen for a night of elegant English Country Dancing, supported by the Warwick Regency Dancers and the sweeping sounds of a live period band, Mr Sayer's Players.

Venue: The Memorial Hall, Station Road, Henley-in-Arden
Dress Code: While many guests will attend in full Regency dress, those without period clothing are most welcome in long evening dresses or formal attire.
To ensure ample space for dancing and comfort, capacity is strictly limited . Your ticket grants you a full afternoon and evening of high-society entertainment, with absolutely no hidden booking fees:
Free Afternoon Workshop (13:30 – 15:30): Learn the steps in a fun, zero-pressure environment (this is optional, all walked through on the night too).
A Welcome Drink: To toast the start of the season upon arrival. A bar will also be open throughout the evening for you to purchase additional refreshments.
Expert Instruction: No experience necessary. The Dance Master will walk you through every step during the ball, ensuring total beginners feel completely at ease.
Live Historical Music: Dance to the authentic, sweeping sounds of Mr Sayer’s Players.
Sumptuous Regency Buffet: Enjoy bespoke sweet and savoury interval refreshments catered by local favourite, The Brookie Bean. (If you have any dietary requirements, please email [email protected]).
Elegant Keepsakes: A beautiful dance card and favour to remember the night.
The Evening's Program
19:00 – 19:30: Arrival and welcome drinks.
19:30 – 2030: First Dance Session.
20:30 – 21:15: Interval & Regency Buffet
21:15 – 22:30: Second Dance Session.
22:30 - Carriages.
About The Experts Guiding Your Evening
The Warwick Regency Dancers (WRD) will provide the expert "calling" for the evening. They are a friendly group dedicated to the dances of the Late Georgian and Regency Periods, and they excel at making historical dance accessible and fun for total beginners.
